STARTED in January 1997 by Chief Operating Officer and President Kim Kaplan, K-Limited has grown from concept to industry cornerstone with a priority emphasis on quality and family. K-Limited's CEO and Vice President is Kim's husband, Dean. His brother and son, Jay and Phillip, help with maintenance, marketing and this Web site. But each employee is brought into the family here. With that philosophy — even in our first year, 1997, when K-Limited was a few trucks and one small, rented office space in Perrysburg, OH — we have expanded, become more efficient and improved operations.

There was struggle for certain, but overcoming those first wobbling steps together is what gave us the foundation for K-Limited's strength today. We went through it all together. We go through it all together. Then and now, at K-Limited, your concerns are our concerns – that ideal defines us as a company.

We have more than 200 people counting on K-Limited for their own success and countless others relying on us for their business' success. Daily operations are handled throughout the nation, though primarily in the Midwest. Our corporate offices are down the road from the Jeep plant in Toledo, OH, in the same building that was once the Freightway Corporation— founded in the 40's by Lester L. Kaplan, whose son's Jay and Rod owned and operated the company through the trucking industry's hey-day of the 60's and 70's. These facts are not easily lost on K-Limited's Vice President, Lester's son.

With our own yard and state-of-the-art maintenance bay for our more than 50 trucks, their trailers and all the other equipment needed to keep them running, we look forward to rewriting this history every year with better numbers and more glowing nostalgia.
